Welcome to Doubl! These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Doubl’s services, including our website and mobile application. By using Doubl, you agree to comply with these Terms. These Terms comply with:

  • The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU Regulation 2016/679).

  • The French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés) and CNIL guidelines.

  • The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

  • The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.).

  • Relevant EU consumer protection laws and local jurisdiction laws.

2. Acceptance of Terms

  • By using Doubl, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

  • If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must stop using the services immediately.

  • We may update these Terms at any time, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. User Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Doubl (GDPR Art. 8).

  • If you are under 18, you confirm that you have received parental or guardian consent (CCPA § 1798.120).

  • We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Responsibilities

  • You agree to use Doubl lawfully and responsibly.

  • You will not upload or distribute harmful, offensive, or illegal content.

  • You will not use Doubl for spam, fraud, harassment, or any form of illegal activity.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

  • You acknowledge that violating platform policies may result in account suspension or deletion.

5. Content Ownership & Licensing

  • You retain ownership of all content you upload.

  • By posting content on Doubl, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and use your content for providing our services.

  • You confirm that your content does not infringe on any third-party rights (GDPR Art. 17 – Right to Erasure, in case of complaints).

6. Event Participation & Liability Disclaimer

  • Doubl facilitates user-created events but does not organize or supervise them.

  • Users participate in events at their own risk, and Doubl is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses (GDPR Art. 82, EU Consumer Law).

  • Event organizers are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and safety measures.

7. Account Suspension & Termination

  • We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) – Legitimate Interest).

  • Users can request account deletion via support@getdoubl.com.

  • Termination of an account does not absolve the user from liabilities incurred before termination.

  • We comply with GDPR, FADP, and CCPA regarding the retention of necessary legal records.

8. Payments & Refunds

  • If Doubl offers paid services, payments will be processed securely through third-party providers.

  • Refund policies will be stated at the time of purchase, and users agree to comply with them.

  • Transactions are subject to consumer protection laws applicable in the user’s jurisdiction (EU Consumer Law, CCPA § 1798.125).

9. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Your use of Doubl is subject to our Privacy Policy, which complies with GDPR, CNIL, FADP, and CCPA regulations.

  • We process user data according to legal requirements, and users have rights regarding their personal data (GDPR Art. 12-22, CCPA § 1798.105).

10. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

  • EU Users: Disputes are governed by EU consumer protection laws and GDPR.

  • French Users: Disputes are subject to CNIL and French data protection laws.

  • Swiss Users: Governed by Swiss law (FADP).

  • US (California) Users: Governed by CCPA and applicable state laws.

  • Users agree to attempt amicable dispute resolution before pursuing legal action.

11. Liability Limitations

  • Doubl provides services on an "as is" basis and does not guarantee uninterrupted service.

  • Doubl is not responsible for damages arising from:

    • User interactions.

    • Platform downtime.

    • Unauthorized access to user data (GDPR Art. 32 – Security Measures).

  • Maximum liability shall not exceed the amount a user has paid to Doubl (if applicable).
